The Westin Bayshore Vancouver Review

We have actually stayed at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver twice – once on our own when we were coming into town for an event and once with our son the night before we spent time with the Snuggle Bear on Kits Beach. We loved how spacious our room was and we loved the seasonal outdoor pool. The room service staff member was really nice to my son and indulged his ridiculous love of teeny tiny condiments. This is what happens when I ask the guys to hold off on eating things before I take a picture of it:

At any rate, we really do enjoy Westin properties (hello SPG points!), and this was no exception. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing. The big room and generous seating area made for comfortable dining and it was really perfect for family travel. There is something to be said for having enough space to move around – especially with the fitness videos you can access from the hotel televisions. They have a fitness gear lending program available (at extra cost) in case you get inspired to exercise on your trip or if you don’t feel like lugging gear along with you. Their gym is pretty well equipped and they have an indoor pool for when it’s too cold to swim outside.

For entertainment, they have cooking classes, live music, and nice restaurants on site. I thought the in-room amenities were really quite thoughtful. If you find you are in need some pampering, they have a spa on site. We will definitely be back to The Westin Bayshore to spend more time at the outdoor pool.
